What inspires you ?

Hello internet friends,

What inspires you ?

Some people answer this and say nothing. But if you really think about it, something all day, everyday inspires us. Why do we get up in the morning, why do we do brush our teeth, comb our hair, get dressed. All these questions with one simple answer. Your inspiration. It could be going to work and getting paid, seeing your friends later that day, or simply wanting to see the beautiful world we live in.

My recent inspiration has been a book. “It’s Not How Good You Are But How Good You Want To Be” by Paul Arden. This book definitely made my brain broaden its horizon and realise what reading was all about.

I’ve never been the type of person to want to read books or the newspaper, even blogs surprisingly. I’ve always known myself to be the person who would watch and listen and my mind would persuade me saying, “Who needs to read, there are no benefits it’s the same as watching television”. If you want to know, it’s not true. Books are an amazing tool in life. It helps your speech, spelling, speed reading, knowledge and most importantly your imagination! Even though this book was about advertisement and being creative, it inspired me to read more books. How? I have no idea but it flicked a switch in my brain to wake up and smell those fresh pages.

Being on the internet for most of the day makes you wonder what you could do instead of reading a physical copy of a book. The answer is simply, an ebook. The problem I find with ebooks is that you don’t get the same experience as a physical copy (if that isn’t obvious already). You’re missing out on rubbing your fingers against the page ready for the next, putting a bookmark in the book for your next read or even just flicking through the pages. Ebooks wouldn’t be my first choice when wanting to read something, but I do see the relevance to it. For example, buying multiple books and storing it all in one tablet. It’s probably the most convenient idea I’ve ever heard of, but it makes you miss out on a good half of the experience.

When looking for your inspiration just remember, it can be as simple as the sunrise or sunset, clouds or a text from your loved ones. It’s easy and I believe can make you feel better each day. Just ask yourself . . .
